Enabling the launch of a new learning system through change, communications and training.
The learning organization of a professional services firm engaged St. Charles Consulting Group to manage all aspects of process and behavioral change associated with the implementation and deployment of a new learning management system for its US practice. We were engaged to create the change strategy, communications, and training for over 32,000 professionals including US leadership, IT, human resources, and all system users.
We were brought into the process with only five months before deployment. We developed a change strategy, communication plan and all communication methods to share information and promote the initiative. Vehicles included newsletters, contests, leadership presentations, Market Leaders updates, functional team meetings, Learning Organization meetings, intranet communications and kiosk postings. Both instructor-led and e-learning training were designed, developed and delivered to administrative, learning organization staff and all end users. Face-to-face classroom training, virtual classroom training and web-based training delivery methods were utilized. We liaised with project sponsors and project leads to ensure integrated and consistent messaging across all workstreams. We provided the core project team with channels to share information, determine contingencies and maintain a teaming atmosphere. We also determined post-launch plans for assessing and evaluating the success of the launch and implementation.
The initial launch date was pushed back due to an organization-wide re-design and reduction in force which affected positions within the learning organization. The system was deployed on the second date without issue. The client was extremely pleased with the outcome and stated that working with us “epitomized a true partnering relationship.”
