St. Charles Consulting Group has an extensive library of “top-shelf” business skill courses on topics shown below. All of these have been designed to enhance performance in the workplace. Click on any of the titles to expand the entry to a full description of the course along with specific learning objectives and the target audience.
The course is designed to be a workshop. The topic is highly interactive, containing reading and activities along with lectures and discussions. This approach enables participants to think about and apply the concepts presented. They will leave the course with Action Plans that they could use and apply to their own life.
Participants will be given opportunities to discuss key learning points and best practices, practice new skills, and then reflect on how they will apply what they have learned to their specific clients.
Internal support participants may not recognize themselves as consultants who serve clients. Therefore, an additional purpose for these audiences is to raise their awareness of being consultants and to help them be more comfortable with that language and what it means for them.
The course references information provided by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the Project Management Body of Knowledge Guide (PMBOK Guide) and provides a useful Resource Guide and additional templates and job aids for use beyond the course.
The instructional approach used in Teaming for Results is Model Centered Instruction. This format is facilitator/participant and discussion/activity-based. The learning experiences that participants will have in Teaming for Results will use the same methodology and technology employed in actual business environments. Participants will be given opportunities to discuss key learning points and best practices, and then reflect on how they will apply what they have learned to their specific clients.
