A global eye care company, acquired by an international pharmaceutical corporation, was experiencing a merger with high growth expectations. During integration, team leaders needed to quickly bring acquired team members up-to-speed and keep the team driving for results. They turned to St. Charles Consulting to develop a process and training solution to guide managers in on-boarding and integrating new talent on their teams.
St. Charles Consulting worked with the client’s global talent management team, corporate and regional HR and functional leaders to determine common and unique needs. We reviewed existing materials as well as researched best-in-class processes. Working with the client, we co-developed a 90-day on-boarding and integration process and materials for team leaders. Materials included discussion guides, activities, self-study materials, job aids and websites for both team leaders and their team members. Managers accessed materials through an on-boarding intranet portal established by the company. Materials were distributed globally to team leaders in all functional roles.
By involving key regional leaders, as well as global HR leadership in the design, development and roll-out of the program, St. Charles Consulting was able to help the client achieve accelerated integration of new talent. Team members quickly learned new processes and products that enabled them to become key contributors.
