Dr. Gina Ann Richter has over 20 years of experience in learning strategy, consulting, managing, designing, and developing effective and instructionally efficient learning experiences based on brain-based research. These experiences include the use of blended solutions, curation, learning ecosystems, social learning environments, a 70-20-10 structure, collaborative learning experiences, virtual, and self-paced asynchronous e-learning within corporate settings. Gina’s experience also extends into academia where she has designed, developed, and delivered Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degree level courses for several academic institutions.
Within both academia and industry, her instruction is student-centered and cutting edge through the incorporation of new technologies that facilitate instructional strategies specific to the audience, content, and infrastructure. Gina is a lifelong learner, who is action-oriented, has a zest for life, a good imagination, inquiring intellect, ingrained ethics, and a desire to excel.
Her areas of expertise include instructional strategy, curation, blended learning design, virtual classroom design, integration of instructional technology, selection of learning technologies, and performance improvement.
During her career, she has worked with organizations such as NY Life, Cisco, Conduent, Xerox, Intrepid, First Data, Bank of America, and several other top companies. Her extensive knowledge and work experience has and continues to help her suggest, design, manage, and implement successful and cost-effective learning strategies, blended curriculum, as well as improve performance within several different industries no matter the audience or technical infrastructure.
Gina has a Master’s of Science in Instructional Design for Online Learning and a Ph.D., in Instructional Design for online learning from Capella University. In addition, Gina is an in-demand speaker on the following topics: curation, instructional strategy, 70-20-10, improving performance, blended learning, and cognitive load theory, just to name a few topics. Presentations and panel discussions have been done on all of these topics and more for some of the most prestigious training and development organizations in the country, including; ATD, ICELW, Online Learning Consortium (OLC), and The eLearning Guild.
